Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University Psychology Department was established in 2017. The language of education is Turkish. Psychology, which takes place in social sciences, has developed and progressed since the day it emerged as a branch of science, and has continued to strengthen its existence with specialties such as clinical psychology, forensic psychology, health psychology, experimental psychology, and sports psychology. Today, psychology departments of universities have become one of the most preferred departments. The aim of the Department of Psychology at the Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University is to educate competent psychologists who will carry out studies in the field of practice and theoretical within the ethical principles and responsibilities. For this purpose, the theoretical information provided by the specialist staff of the department is supported by applied studies conducted in the psychology laboratory.

Psychology is a fundamental science that develops to explain and evaluate individuals’ behaviors, mental processes and emotion-based lives with the help of scientific methods. Today, psychology science has a wide range of applications and uses in many disciplines such as industry, education, health, safety, art, informatics. The objectives of the department are to provide students with new knowledge in many different areas of psychology, to ensure that what is learned is consolidate by practice, to develop critical and creative thinking, to develop perception skills, to teach experimental study and field research techniques, to gain the ability to collect scientific data and analyze them.
