The purpose of the program is to train auxiliary personnel required for the work in the use of X-rays in the diagnosis of diseases. It also aims to qualified radiology technician equipped with enough background and skills to use ionized and non-ionized radiation to prepare the patient for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and get images by using such medical imaging tools as conventional and digital roentgen, fluoroscopy, computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, PET-CT and ultrasonography, to make the images and films ready for use, to control and maintain the devices and equipment.

The employment fields of the graduates of this program are as follows; such units as computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography and ultrasonography. They can also work in various units of nuclear medicine centres for the preparation and application of the devices of the patients undergoing radiotherapy.
