The developments and changes in the computer and communication sector have been causing significant and unprecedented changes. In the 21st century, artists utilize the newest technology to develop, design and bring to market the images that surround us.
The Visual Communication Design Department of Beykoz University approaches the challenges visual design of information with informed research and appropriate digital tools.
Visual Communications programme will equip the students with the skills needed for a career in the communication industry.
The Visual Communication Design Degree Programme Graduates; will have a general understanding of materials and processes in the visual arts and have knowledge on different disciplines from natural and social sciences to mathematics and art, and develop interdisciplinary approaches in thinking and practice.
They will have knowledge of the background of art history and the philosophical underpinnings of art along with the technical skills to produce art and to communicate digitally.
The graduates will be able to understand and use characteristics and capabilities of various animation methods and technologies. They will have knowledge of the history, theory, and criticism of design from a variety of perspectives as well as comprehension of basic business practices.
The graduates will be able to think critically, follow innovations and developments in science and technology and be prepared to work as designers in a professional context and contribute to the development of this area academically with their conceptual and visual problem-solving abilities.
