The purpose of the department is to raise child developers who can identify preventive approaches for children at risk and raise awareness of their parents, preparing programs targeting the child’s multidirectional development at a level suitable for the requirements of the age, starting from the prenatal period, able to identify risk factors and prepare children for the future with educational programs according to their ages so that they can adapt to the environment. Population growth, changes in social and economic structure and social factors, increases the need for child developers. Despite the rapid increase in the need, there is a need for specialist personnel who will offer applications or develop systems based on child development. In accordance with this information, raising child developers with theory and practice infrastructure will provide an advantage in meeting both social need and employment demand.

Students who graduate from the program will receive the title of “Child Developmentalist”. The working areas of Child Developers are quite wide.
