Medical imaging is the technique and process of creating visual representations of the interior of the body for clinical analysis and medical intervention.

The Medical Imaging Techniques Programme at Fenerbahçe University aims to train qualified technicians who are knowledgeable on medical imaging techniques and can use medical imagining devices effectively.

The programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to effectively use the high technology imaging equipment that are used in radiology departments, interpret the information obtained and improve the quality of medical service.

The graduates can be employed at state hospitals, university hospitals and radiology units belonging to the public and private sectors.

The Medical Imaging Techniques Associate Degree Programme Graduates; will have knowledge of the human body systems and fundamental structure and anatomy.

The graduates will have the basic level knowledge and skills in the field. They will be able to interpret and evaluate data and identify and solve potential problems.

The graduates will have knowledge of the photographic and digital process and define the technical factors utilized in medical image formation.

The graduates will be knowledgeable of the effects of radiation on body systems, differentiate between different types of radiation and their effects on human tissue.

The graduates will be able to manage proper patient positioning of the skeletal system, cranium, and viscera to achieve industry standard radiograph.

The graduates will have knowledge about International Health and Security Alerts, Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
