We need to consider communication a reflection of the association between each species of life that has existed since time immemorial as well as the revival of this reflection within itself, rather than regarding it only as a state of forming dialogues between individuals. In this respect, we should accept the fact that communication has become one of the most significant concepts of our time. Communication, which is the touchstone of the cooperation between the poducer and the consumer or the mutual trading process between the two, holds the utmost importance in terms of creating a proper and successful social process either between individuals or institutions and becoming functional.
As is the case with all the departments of the Faculty of Communication, students of the Department of Media and Communication Systems will take all of the mutual courses within a general programme in the first two years. Accordingly, students will acquire the necessary knowledge in the essential lessons and approaches of the field of social sciences, and the basic communication theories, techniques, technologies and history as well as sociology, history, philosophy, political science, media, law and international relations. In this way, the programme aims at providing students with the required background in social sciences.
The candidates of the sector of communication, who will find the opportunity to specialize in the Department of Media and Communication Systems as of the third year, will be given the programme that offers the administrative ability to handle possible problems in terms of communication. In other words, each of our students will be directed to the sectors that they take interest and plan their career starting with their third academic year in relation to the formation they have taken in the first two years.
