Psychology is an important discipline contributing to the better understanding of individuals and societies and how they are affected by national and international changes that occur as a result of factors such as technological developments, globalization and migration.

Psychology Department of Beykoz University aims to enable the students to acquire both theoretical knowledge and work experience in different fields of psychology and allows students to specialize in different fields of psychology through its compulsory and elective courses and provides opportunities for internship and scientific research.

The department aims to raise open-minded psychologists who are eager to learn and follow the developments in the field of psychology with the ability to think scientifically and critically.

The programme is designed to be compatible with national and international accreditation standards and allows students to acquire professional knowledge in subfields of psychology such as clinical, developmental and industrial psychology.

The Psychology Degree Programme Graduates; will have knowledge of basic psychological concepts, models and theories and the relationship between psychology and other social sciences and be able to analyse psychological processes with an interdisciplinary approach.

The graduates will have academic and clinical knowledge, skills and experience in different fields of psychology and they will be equipped with high leadership and communication skills as well as awareness of ethical principles to be able to make unprejudiced and non-discriminatory professional assessments in practice and academic research. They will have competence on both national and international standards.
