Audiometry is a scientific discipline that deals with the diagnosis and rehabilitation of hearing loss, disorder and balance disorder.
The main purpose of the Audiometry Programme of Beykoz University is to train qualified health technicians who are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge in Audiometry and who are also sensitive to the ethical principles and aware of the professional duties, rights and responsibilities of the position.
The programme aims that the students graduate with the knowledge and skills to be able to apply hearing and balance tests effectively and give audiometric support to the otorhinolaryngology clinics.
The students will go through intensive theoretical and practical training courses during the two-years. Students who graduate from the audiometry programme can work in various public and private health institutions, as well as the university hospitals and hearing aid centres with the title of “Health Technician”.
The Audiometry Degree Associate Programme Graduates; will have an understanding of the normal and abnormal features of hearing.
The graduates will be able to detect loss of hearing and balance disorder and have the knowledge and skills to work for the rehabilitation of abnormal hearing traits. They will have gained the skills to do audiologic and hearing screening tests reliably and apply hearing aid settings.
The graduates will have knowledge on hearing aid and implant design, production, maintenance and sales-marketing.
The graduates will be equipped with the competencies that are developed in line with the expectations of the business world and society at the basic level.
