Ayvansaray University Architecture Doctorate Program aims to conduct both original and creative, both theoretical and applied scientific research in architectural design and structural science. Scientific research is based on theory and observation. The theoretical foundation, which means prediction, assumption / hypothesis, and proof, gives us the power to transform the real world. When analysed from this point of view, the theoretical foundation includes the structure of the relationship between architecture and reality, not only through analytical methods, but also philosophical thinking to form dialectics. In this context, those who want to conduct research in the field of architecture in our university’s doctoral program will be directed to the production of a theoretical framework, which can be reached both as a result of analytical studies and field research focusing on the dialectical theories of architectural thought. Graduates of the Department of Architecture with Thesis are accepted to the Doctorate Program in Architecture. Upon entering the program, it’s necessary to have science exam, English placement test and interview.
