About the University

Erzurum Technical University is a young and dynamic university founded in 2010. There is a total of 6 faculties in the university, namely Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Literature, Science, Health Sciences and Sports Sciences. Bachelor education at the Faculty of Health Sciences will begin in the coming periods whereas bachelor education continues at 5 faculties.

Erzurum Technical University has 6 departments in the Faculty of Literature, 4 in the Faculty of Science, 5 in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, 9 in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, 4 in the Faculty of Health Sciences, 1 in the Faculty of Sports Sciences, and 29 in total. As of today, education continues in 13 of these 29 departments and works on student admissions to other departments continue. Graduate education continues in 10 disciplines in total, 6 of which in the field of Science and 4 in the field of Social Sciences.

Erzurum Technical University has 4220 students and 288 academic staff. 7 research and application centres continue to operate, namely High Technology Application and Research Centre, Economic and Social Research Centre, Career Planning, Application and Research Centre, Women and Family Studies Application and Research Centre, Continuing Education Application and Research Centre, Project Coordination Application and Research Centre, and Psychology Application and Research Centre.

Erzurum Technical University prepares its students for their professional lives in the shortest possible time by incorporating the technological infrastructure of today and the future within an understanding that puts students at the centre of education. In this context, with the highly successful faculty members and fully equipped laboratories with the latest technological devices, students get the best theoretical and practical knowledge. It provides university students with opportunities for their original work and enables them to achieve national and international success by participating in many different projects. 

Erzurum Technical University applies to all stages of education and training processes through the Digital Transformation Office within its internet-based technologies that develop at an unprecedented pace. Instead of passive learning methods, an education model in which the active participation of students is provided with the help of digital education technologies is actively used in all courses through the “Blackboard” Learning Management system, which provides student-faculty communication and interaction. Thus, we believe that students will be more successful in business life as graduates who are familiar with digital education technologies, who have developed the ability to learn by using rapidly developing and changing information technologies, not only in the education life at the university but also in the post-university business life.  

Erzurum Technical University has a Central Library building that has a unique design in terms of both exterior appearance and interior spaces. The library, which offers its readers spacious and comfortable spaces, has a closed area of ​​12,500 square meters and a seating capacity of 720 people. There are over 50,000 printed books in the library.  

Erzurum, which is the largest city in Turkey’s Eastern Anatolia Region, is a very old settlement. The city is located on the skirts of Palandöken Mountain and has gained great importance in terms of winter tourism in recent years. The city contains many historical rich artifacts and resembles a cultural centre and has an important tourism potential today.  

The construction of the Student Life Center, which is rapidly developing with the student bazaar and social life accessories, is about to be completed. At the university, 6,000 meters of the bicycle, walking, and vehicle road infrastructure and lighting have been completed and transportation needs have been fulfilled. The campus also has a Sports and Event Hall where students can play sports. In the winter sports centre Palandöken, Erzurum, students are provided with a free “Winter Sports Training”.
