Hitit University

Hitit University was established in 2006 in Çorum where trust and tranquillity prevail. The shining star of its region, Hitit University represents both civilization and innovation with the slogans of “The Knowledge Sun that Enlightens Civilization”, “The Most Private State University” and “Brand City World University” and guarantees quality education to its students and offers a secure future with its colourful university life and employment-oriented departments.

With its experienced staff, dynamic and competent lecturers, Hitit University has a national and international reputation, has been integrated with its region and industry in every way, is open to innovations and is one of the universities that has made the most progress in a short time with the slogan of “Brand City World University”.

Having started its education life in 2006, Hitit University has 19,000 students, including 1,551 graduate students, in a total of 218 programs (109 associate degree, 74 graduate, 26 graduate, and 9 doctorate programmes) given in 11 faculties, 3 institutes, 1 graduate school, and 7 vocational schools and continues its educational activities successfully. The number of foreign students is more than 300. The university hosts students from 41 different countries, from Europe to North Africa, from the Middle East to Central Asia, the Balkans, and the Caucasus. The university aims to increase the number of foreign students and the diversity of countries they come from.

While the university develops the quality of education for a world-class and competitive university, it aims to maintain education in a modern and flexible structure and to offer a successful and versatile future to its students who have no concern for the future and who speak at least one foreign language, constantly study, research, question, and pursue their goals. 

At Hitit University, with 19 application and research centres, detailed researches are carried out on many subjects by expert lecturers, and there is also one Training and Research Hospital. All these educational activities are carried out by 766 lecturers and 610 administrative staff working full-time at the university. Thus, Hitit University has become a large institution with a population of approximately 20,000.

Hitit University supports research with R&D activities in its laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art technology and rich library collection (100,000 printed, 600,000 e-books, 53 databases, 70,000 e-journals, and 3 million theses). Also, the university supports social, cultural, and sports activities. In this context, student projects are supported, there are active sports teams and nearly 90 student clubs in different branches and also culture, art, career, and development days, and national and international scientific events are organized in the Business and Human Resources Centre. 

The city of Çorum is the gateway of the Black Sea Region of Turkey to Central Anatolia and is a transit point for both regions. Çorum, which is the capital of the ancient Hittites, has a history and culture that started 7,000 years ago. Çorum is a place worth seeing with its natural beauties such as Çorum plateaus and canyon decorated with castles, bridges, and mosques. There are theatres, cinemas, a shopping mall, sports facilities, restaurants, and cafes in the city.
