Inonu University

Inonu University is one of the reputable and well-established universities in Turkey and was founded in 1975. The university has 14 faculties, 2 colleges, 1 of which is the State Conservatory, 4 vocational schools, 6 institutes, 1 techno city, and 24 research and application centres, including Turgut Özal Medical Center. Inonu University is a university that provides education approximately to 41,000 students. The Main Campus of the university is 10 km away from the city centre and continues its education, scientific research, and application activities also with the campuses of Malatya Vocational School located in the city centre and Malatya OSB Vocational School located in Malatya Organized Industrial Zone.

As a rapidly developing and growing university in Turkey since 1975, the university has graduated over 130,000 qualified people and has contributed to Turkey’s fields of science, thought, art, economy, and society. With its higher education facilities and increasing success rate, Inonu University continues to contribute to Turkey’s and the region’s growing success and bright future. 

With its campus area, sufficient infrastructure, and qualified educational facilities, Inönü University enables students to evaluate the extra-curricular time most efficiently with its multi-purpose cultural halls, social facilities, sports, and recreation areas. Inönü University hosts 41,000 students. The Main Campus offers accommodation to a total of 3,300 students. On the campus, there is a state dormitory with a capacity of 2500 people and private dormitories for girls and boys with a total capacity of 805 people. 

As in the past, Inönü University continues to support scientific activities, to provide quality and standardization in the administrative structure, to encourage studies that will provide R&D, innovation, and technological developments, and educate individuals with the knowledge and equipment required by the 21st century. In addition to education and scientific activities, the university organizes cultural, art, and sports activities and offers its students numerous opportunities that enable them to improve themselves in every field.

Inönü University offers many departments and programs in a wide range of branches in its programs. The university offers 29 associate, 87 bachelor, 110 graduate, and 83 doctoral programs.   

Inönü University has a medical center, library and documentation center, elementary school, student dormitories, post office, banks, book sales centres, internet centre, photo studio, hairdresser, guesthouse, cafes, market, bakery, college, nursery, lodgings, hobby gardens, and many more. For students to play sports, there are indoor sports halls, carpet football fields, outdoor sports fields, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, water sports facilities, and a beach volley field. The university has 103 student clubs.  

Malatya has a central and strategic position in Turkey. At the same time, Malatya is on important trade routes and has remarkable cultural value in this respect. Having hosted exactly twenty civilizations in history, Malatya is a cultural center with its historical and cultural works. Also, Malatya is worth seeing with its natural beauties. There are mounds, valleys, and waterfalls that are worth seeing as natural beauties in Malatya. The city also has a castle, mosques, caravansary, and historical and cultural artifacts. It is possible to reach Malatya by air, rail, and road.
