Industrial Product Design is the professional application of the design of products used by people in everyday life.
The education model for the Industrial Product Design Programme at Beykoz University integrates design practice with theoretical and technical teaching.
The programme focuses on applied research, critical thinking, technology and the art of making. The students will learn not only on the image of the product, but also on how it works, the value it adds, and user experience.
The programme will guide the students onto becoming successful designers who know how to combine art and engineering, and incorporate sustainability, usability and aesthetics. The students will also be equipped with an understanding of marketing, quality assurance and project management.
The Industrial Product Design Degree Programme Graduates; will be able to develop concepts and designs for manufactured products.
They will have a good sense of colour, balance and proportion, as well as good verbal, visual and written communication skills.
They will be knowledgeable about usability, ergonomics and aesthetics of common mass-produced items and have the skills to improve the design, function, engineering and marketing of these products.
The graduates will be imaginative and persistent to communicate their ideas about new product designs and be able to design the products so that they are suitable for the targeted audiences.
